Once you have joined CIHE you have accepted the use of the terms and conditions of our website. CIHE has the right to remove, amend, replace and add to the following policy at any time without prior notice. All alterations made by the Director shall commence immediately. Please review this policy when accessing the site as this will keep you up to date with any new or amended terms. If you disagree with the terms set out in the policy then you are not able to be part of the CIHE service.
CIHE SERVICES
The CIHE website is only responsible for the publishing of the listings provided by financial members. CIHE relies on the professionalism, integrity and responsibility of each listed member. CIHE will not guarantee an exchange of any type and we are not liable to verify the existence or content of a listed property nor the accuracy of the home listed or actions of the members. We will not claim responsibility for the content, accuracy, availability of any information accessed or linked to through use of this service by members. You as a member and user of our site take sole responsibility for any and all agreements reached and made through the use of our website.
THIS SITE IS ONLY USED FOR COPS INTERNATIONAL HOME EXCHANGE MEMBERS
Everything within this website which includes all information in every listing is only available to financial members of CIHE for the purpose of organising a home exchange or a rental of a property owned by CIHE. The site is a private membership organisation and all information herein is not open to the public. Members are not permitted to use any content of this site commercially or for any solicitations. It is prohibited to mine data from this website either collecting or storing personal member’s information. A member who contravenes this is subject to termination. The website email correspondence is for members to arrange an exchange between members. Any member who attempts to collect email addresses from other members for any other reason other than to arrange a home exchange is contravening this policy and is subject to exclusion from the website.
PROPERTY
Cops International Home Exchange Pty Ltd website and everything contained therein is protected by copyrights, service marks, trademarks, international treaties and all other property rights and laws of Australia and other countries. CIHE website and all individual information pertaining to the site are also copyrighted. Members agree to abide by all Australian and overseas copyright and other laws and also copyright notices and restrictions contained in this site. All content in this site is owned by CIHE and it is prohibited to copy, resell, distribute or publish any information therein. Any information added to this website such photos and descriptions become part of the site and may also be used for promotions and advertisement and other purposes by CIHE.
CODE OF CONDUCT
As members we agree to do the following:
I will ensure that I follow local regulations (which are not only) permits, licenses, taxes and safety requirements.
I will enter my listing and offer it for exchange or if I have a second listing I may offer it for rent or exchange.
I understand the Director and owners of CIHE have no responsibility and do not vouch for the accuracy of information outlined in each individual listing.
I am responsible for investigating any claims made by prospective exchangers.
I will not place or send any information or be involved in any conduct that will subject CIHE to any threat of civil or criminal penalties.
I will not transmit files that contain viruses, corrupted files, Trojan horses, malicious code or in fact any other programs or software that may cause damage or harm to another’s computer and I will not gain access to another computer or files.
I will not use the CIHE website to contravene any laws within my own country or that of another.
I will not provide incorrect information to CIHE or its members.
I understand that there may be small disruptions whilst preparing an exchange in relation to personal, cultural, and language barriers. I do not hold CIHE responsible for these issues.
I will always stand by the arrangements I have made with fellow exchangers and if the commitment has otherwise changed due to an unforeseen circumstance, I will do my best to accommodate my exchange partner.
I will contact my exchange partner as soon as practical if any damage has occurred and I will offer to replace, repair or pay for the same.
I will ensure that all property in the home of my exchange will be treated as though it were my own property. I will ensure that the home is left neat and tidy and in good or better condition than when I arrived.
I will leave my home in a clean and tidy state prior to my exchange partner arriving.
I will not use the CIHE site or my own listing for other than what Cops International Home Exchange is designed.
I will ensure that the description given of my home is accurate in my listing and any further correspondence with a possible exchanger. My description will include number of rooms and beds and vehicle make and size and any other relevant information required.
I agree to indemnify and hold countless CIHE, its Director/s, shareholders and agents for any injury or damage suffered directly or indirectly as a result of using listings for a home exchange holiday and vehicle usage. This will include but will not be limited to: a) a claim for injury or damage to any person or property coming from a property you own, or a property transaction you are a party to; b) contravening the terms and conditions of use by you or anyone using your computer or account; c) or for any other reason, breach or otherwise.
TERMINATION
CIHE reserves all rights to terminate any member for what ever reasons, which include but are not limited to misuse, and any way that breaches security and any action that is untoward against another members listing or anything that is downgrading towards CIHE. If any information is placed on this website by a member that is vastly misrepresented or any action by a member who outlines false information as to being a police officer either serving or retired then CIHE has the right to remove that person and that listing and terminate the members access without a refund. CIHE also reserves the right to terminate any member at any time for no reason with no refund to the member.
CIHE membership is for 12 months and renewal is due at the end of the period. Members who wish to terminate their listing may do so by contacting the Director of CIHE but refunds are not available for the termination of their account. Membership runs for twelve months, and prior termination to 12 months will not activate any refund.
MEMBERSHIP POLICIES
CHIE reserves the right and sole discretion to reject or edit any material once submitted this information also becomes the property of CIHE and can not be copied from the our web site.
Reasonable content
Members must follow our Content Policy which is: Listings must not contain vulgarity, or any other comments that may contain or relates to violence, hate, or sexual nature. Such references are not considered acceptable content and CIHE reserves the rights to state what is acceptable and what is not. By using CIHE I agree to these terms and conditions.
Conflicts
Conflicts arising out of an exchange of properties shall be tried to be resolved first by amicable discussion between the exchange parties. If this fails, then the Director of CHIE may hear the arguments and make suggestions for resolutions, but CIHE reserve the right to do this. Conflicts that remain could result in termination of Membership. CIHE separates themselves from any continuing disputes between parties.
DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Using the CIHE web site and any information from that site is at your sole risk. CIHE has no warranty of any kind. You agree that CIHE has no responsibility or liability for any direct or indirect injury or damages from you using our web site.
SPAMMING POLICY
CIHE does not and will not participate in the sending of Unsolicited Commercial Email (SPAM). CIHE reserves the right to terminate, (without refund), any member that mentions CHIE in an email address in any SPAM e-mail message. CIHE reserves the right to terminate (without refund) any member that uses CIHE to send any solicitations other than exchange inquiries or replies.
MONITORING OF ENQUIRIES
All enquiries could be monitored by the Director or employees of CIHE before delivery to members. Although CIHE maintains efforts, it is possible that some SPAM inquiries will arrive, and some may not. CHIE will not be held responsible for this in any way.
